My name is Santiago Fabius Wilensky, I am a mathematician and educator with a strong academic background in mathematics and a deep commitment to helping students who find the subject challenging. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the University of Tel Aviv.
After my undergraduate studies, I pursued a Master’s degree in Mathematics at KU Leuven, in Belgium. This allowed me to deepen my understanding of more advanced mathematical concepts and engage with a more abstract and rigorous approach to the subject.

I am originally from Uruguay, but I have been living in Luxembourg since 2019. Living in different countries and academic environments has broadened my perspective, both culturally and professionally. It has also reinforced my belief that education is most effective when it is adaptable and responsive to the needs of individual learners.
In addition to my academic background, I was also a student of the International Baccalaureate system, which has given me insight into some of the expectations and challenges that students face within high-demanding curricula.
My own relationship with mathematics was not always straightforward. I struggled significantly with the subject during my secondary school years. However, I was lucky enough to have had a teacher who invested considerable time and effort in helping me understand the subject, even when progress felt slow and difficult. At the time, I often felt I was not truly understanding what was being taught, despite the support I was receiving.
Years later, things began to make sense in a way they had not before. Concepts that once felt inaccessible suddenly became clear, and I realised the value of the patience and guidance I had received earlier on.
This experience was a turning point that led me to pursue mathematics more seriously and eventually dedicate myself to it professionally.
My goal now is to support students who find themselves in a similar situation to the one I once experienced, students who are struggling, who need additional explanation, or who simply require a different approach for things to click. I aim to make mathematics more accessible, less intimidating, and ultimately more understandable for those who need that extra support.
