Our Goal
Mathematics.lu is designed to serve as a central resource for students and teachers following the European Baccalaureate mathematics curriculum. Its goal is to bring together clear explanations, carefully-structured notes, worked examples, and high-quality exercises in one place, making maths more accessible, coherent, and approachable for everyone.
The website was created with a strong emphasis on understanding rather than memorisation. Whether reviewing core concepts, preparing for examinations, or exploring more advanced ideas, students and teachers alike should be able to find material that promotes clarity and precision. Resources currently cover S6 and S7 mathematics, across both the 3-period and 5-period courses. We aim to support meaningful learning by providing resources that are rigorous, organised, and designed with real classroom experience in mind.
As much as possible, each page and topic will include examples and exercises for you to try. Some lessons will include a more general explanation, more advanced proofs, or even background knowledge that may not explicitly be in the programme, to promote a deeper understanding of the topic.
Please note that Mathematics.lu is not an official European Baccalaureate website, and the material presented here reflects my own interpretation of the programme and its learning objectives. The content is intended as a supplementary resource to support students and teachers, not as an official guide or the only valid way to learn or teach the syllabus.
